Another year....another hit...

It was only the second night back here at the castle and Amara was already taking advantage of her prefect duties. Having patrolled the darkened corridors for sometime, only to find the snoring portraits and creaking suits of armor, she choose to take a little breather. She walked casually down the empty hallway, her prefects badge catching the dim light of the moon shining through the large windows. The badge was pinned to her Ravenclaw tie which she was currently using as her belt to help her pleated skirt stand out a bit more. Her white button down shirt was untucked and her shoulder length blonde hair bounced naturally as she walked.

She slowed as she turned the corner, glancing over her shoulder to be sure no one else was on the sixth floor but herself. She closed in on a large oak door and with a little shove, inched the door open enough to slip inside. She smirked to herself as she turned about revealing the abandoned instruments that lay unused on their stands. This room was on of her favorites, one that she and Connor had snuck into many a time. Mara walked forwards and moved farther into the room. She stopped in front of a guitar and picked it up, running her well manicured fingers lightly over its wooden exterior. She wasn't very good at playing, not like Connor could but she knew how to sing. She sat down, just on the edge of the piano bench and strummed the guitar strings, not really a note just to hear the faint hum of the music. She closed her pink painted eyes and parted her glossed lips singing out into the darkened room.

"You think I'm pretty, Without any make-up on." she slowed down the fast paced muggle song, every feeling in her body excelling in her voice. "You think I'm funny, When I tell the punch line wrong." she smiled ever so slightly and made her voice a little bit louder. "I know you get me,So I'll let my walls come down.....down." she lowered the note and octave and she smiled to herself as she went into an even beat.

"You make me,Feel like,I'm living a Teenage Dream." she let the words linger a moment on her lips before continuing the tune. "The way you turn me on, I can't sleep, Let's runaway, And don't ever look back..Don't ever look back" she grinned to herself her white smile lighting up her face with the music that fed her soul.
