Marcus was glad to finally be out of Azkaban, seven years locked behind the cast iron bars with no contact with anyone was enough to make anyone look shabby. He stood in the quarters connected to his office, starring at the convict before him. Long, mangled dreadlock hair, dirt clad face and hands and his teeth and beard were horrid. He knew it was time to make a change. Closing the door, he removed his clothing and stepped into a hot shower. The water felt good as it cascaded over his still rock hard quidditch body. Grabbing a bar of soap he began to scrub every inch of his body to remove the dirt stains of the past seven years. The stab wound, the scars even the dirt under his nails. He spent several hours under the hot water just scrubbing his body red with persistence of removing the dirt which had been rather well accomplished. He shut off the water and grabbed a towel, drying himself off and wrapping it around his waist. He grabbed some scissors and began to cut through his wet, tangled hair removing every trace of his Azkaban life before using a scouring spell to scrub his hair clean. He styled his hair to his liking and shaved giving him a cleaner more rich look that he had been going for.
He grabbed a pair of black pants putting them on and an expensive black pin stripped shirt to match. He put on a brand new gold chain around his neck which had belonged to his wife. He stopped staring into the mirror he had previously looked into before his shower and he agreed he looked good. He grinned and turned opening the door and walking back into his bedroom, going to the front and into his office.

It's alright, just wait and see
She'd heard the rumors. He was a murderer they all said. He was without a wife, and his children were without a mother because he was supposed to have murdered her. But honestly, he was Avys' best bet to ever find a cure for her sight. And honestly, what was the worst that could happen if she went and asked for his help.
So. He could kill her. Yea, that kind of was a big deal. But would he take the chance of killing her here at school, when at least Kyrk would notice her missing. Standing outside of where a nice student had showed her was his office, Avys wasn't sure how long she waited, gaining the confidence to knock and appear in the doorway. Ruya nudged her with his nose, and she placed a hand on the dogs head, reassuring him. She planned to leave him outside in the hall, preferring to enter the room alone. She wanted to be who she was, wanted this teacher to understand that this was something she really needed.
Taking a deep breath, she released the handle of the harness on Ruya, and gave him the signal to sit and stay. He whined softly, but she ignored it. Lightly trailing her fingertips along the wall, she felt the difference of the dungeon corridor wall to the archway of the room, and with one last deep breath, she stepped into view, and knocked on the door jamb.
"Professor Flint?" Avys spoke with only a hint of hesitation in her voice. She knew the teacher was in the room, she had heard him return from a door inside a few moments ago while she had been psyching herself up. "I was wondering if I could have a moment of your time." she continued, her eyes closed. If he sent her away, she would call Ruya and quickly hurry to the common room. But if he called her in, maybe she would be taking the first real step to getting her sight back.

Marcus was quick to turn about when a voice interrupted his train of thought. He had not expected someone to actually be standing directly behind him but as his eyes caught hold of the cute little blond before him his eyebrow raised in interest. He looked her once over and smirked noting her blond curls, rich looking outfit and smiled his arms crossing over his chest. Surely he could offer his help to the girl before him after all he was being paid to help these kids.
"As long as it is only a moment. I am very busy" he wasn't really but unless this girl was going to make his afternoon a tad more fun filled he did not want to spend more time than necessary with her. He crossed the room with a few short strides and sat at his desk, reaching for his attendance book and flipping through the pages casually to find the photo that told him about the girl before him. It took a few moments but at last her picture popped up and he quickly scanned her name, her house and year.
"What can I help you with Miss Knight?" he asked rather formally waiting for her to give him a proper response.

It's alright, just wait and see,
"As long as it is only a moment. I am very busy" Avys sighed in relief, he hadn't turned her away right away, so maybe she would get a chance to at least talk to him. She listened as his footsteps echoed off the walls then the squeak of the chair told her that he had made his way to his desk. She stood quietly as she heard him ruffle through some papers, and then he said "What can I help you with Miss Knight?
She swallowed. This was it. The next make it or break it time. "Well, Professor. I know this may sound weird. But, I was wondering, since you are the Potions Master and all," she knew she was rambling, but darn it, if she wasn't at the least intimidated, "If maybe whenever you had time, you might help me with a side project." she was a little too nervous to just come out and say it. She didn't want him to think her helpless, but he probably already did, so she didn't know why she was so freaked out.
"Whenever you are available to spare any time for me, that would be all that I asked really. I just, really need some help." she dropped her head.
