With the month of September having come and gone, Sirius was starting to get used to the comings and goings of the castle. There was a lot of different rooms and corridors and small alcoves and crevices. As Sirius made his way into the staff room, he sighed and sunk down in one of the large stuffed armchairs. He wore dark black jeans and a dark tee-shirt, his own special way of still mourning the loss of his mother only a few months ago. He hadn't told anyone about it except for the Headmistress, but he was, on the inside, still torn by her being taken from him.
Taking the rag he had been dusting with, he slapped it across his leg, and the dust floated off the thing and up into his face. He sneezed and puffed out air, to push it away. He'd' been dusting the hall of armor, and it had taken him almost all day to get halfway done with it. By the time he finished, the first half would probably have gotten covered with dust again.
Leaning back, he rested his head and closed his eyes. Just a little break, then he'd get back at it before the rest of the evening was over.

Emma knew that she would likely find her new boss in the staff room since she was not in her office. She walked through the corridors her short blonde hair swaying around her smokey eyes. She wore a pair of dragon leather pants with a crossed double belt and a torn orange shirt that stood out strong on her tanned skin. The young game keeper was just getting familiar with this castle.
Her black combat boots held strong as she made her way to the door that was pointed out as the staff room. Pausing a moment she took a breath and let it out before turning the brass handle and pushing the door open. Time seemed to slow down as she stepped in with a smile that instantly faded upon the sight of the young man laying in an arm chair. Her face paled and she cast a glance sideways averting her gaze from him and contemplating backing out of the room before he opened his eyes.
She closed her mouth and turned slightly, shifting her weight backwards and dragging her boot back to exit the room. She so did not need to deal with him right now!

Sirius' twitched and awoke with a start when the sound of the boot slid across the floor. Jumping up, he glanced at the door, not wanting to have been caught by the headmistress slacking. His eyes beheld on the blond who would only be moving faster if she apperated out of the room. Something tugged in his memory and he called out, "Wait!" He didn't know why, but something called out to him. This woman called out to him, inside.
"Um..." suddenly bashful, he didn't know why, he stumbled in his thoughts, then her name and a memory surfaced. Romania. The bar by the dragon reserve. He thought he could remember meeting some girl, a blond, who looked a lot like this one. "Emma? From Romania?" it had to be her, since Selena had said the new gamekeeper was from Romania and specialized with dragons. Who else?
"I know you, don't I?" he asked. Although they'd been working at the same place for over a month, people came and went at different times around mealtimes, and it was a large castle. Its a wonder that they chanced a meeting now.

Emma closed her eyes and let out a sigh as he called after her and she stopped, lifting her blue eyes up to meet the young man in the chair. The green popped a bit due to the smokey eye shadow that touched her eye lid. She slid her hands into her pockets and looked at him with a small grin.
"Hey...Sirius" she said softly and gulped before shifting her head to the side. "I didn't know you worked here!" she mentally swore knowing that if she had of known she wouldn't have come here to begin with..or maybe she would have. She hadn't been entirely sure if seeing him would have brought anything back but just seeing his handsome face made the butterflies return to her already sick belly.
"How have you been?" she asked casually not wanting to make it seem like she was running away from him. She took a step forward and into the room, still remaining close to the door.

Inside, he felt relief wash over him. She knew his name and apparently seemed to know him, which meant that he wasn't mixing up this girl with some other poor girl from Romania. Smiling, Sirius shifted on his feet, leaning more weight on his left than his right, and rolling his shoulders, stretching the tense muscles he used when cleaning.
He smiled at her, "I've been good. How have you been? If I'd known you were working here, I'd have found you a lot sooner to say hello." he gave her a lopsided grin as an apology. Quickly glancing up and down her, she looked amazing, as his fuzzy memory reminded him that she had back then. He watched as she moved into the room more, and gave her a smile. "Are you enjoying it here so far?" he asked, wanting to keep the conversation going, but not quite sure what he could talk to her about. The last time he had seen her, he was already a few drinks into the night, and he figured he was lucky enough to remember her at all.

Emma watched as he brought himself to his feet and she stood up straight being sure she came off as independant. She watched his lopsided grin appear and she gulped feeling her stomach flutter with nerves as she normally did over good looking men. She cleared her throat and moved a strand of her blond hair back out of her face. She tilted her head to the side her earrings dangling on the side of her face.
She crossed her arms lightly and shrugged her shoulders, looking at him with a smirk. "I've been alright. I miss the reserve but the headmistress made me an offer I couldn't refuse." she said simply and tossed her hair back a bit. "You didn't stick around long in Romania..how did you end up here?" she asked curiously, wondering what he had been up to since he left.
She knew they weren't a couple and never was even close but as the song goes she didn't even know his last name when they started flirting at the pub. It started out hey cutie where you from as she sen him at the bar and their crazy drinking games and dancing had led to oh no what have I done! More than anyone cared to realize.

Sirius was almost mesmerized by the sway of her hair and earrings. After a moment, he caught himself staring, and quickly brought her words back to him. How had he ended up here, from Romania. Well, he guessed that was a long distance away, if you couldn't apperate. "Ahh... Yes, Romania. Well, I had only been there for the day, passing through, and the reserve caught my attention. It was a fantastic reserve, I can understand why you would miss it, although," he paused, tilting his head sideways slightly, "I probably don't quite grasp just how much you miss it," probably as much as he missed his cottage.
Thinking of the cottage brought his mother to his mind, and a flash of emotional pain flickered across his face, but it was quickly gone. He didn't need anyone else to know about it if they didn't have to. "Anyways," he started, waving his hand slightly, "After Romania, I traveled to Italy, then France, just kind of bumming from place to place." he stated. It was a bit of an overstatement, he had slept in the woods and stuff and scavanged as an animal would, because he had been an animal. As an animagus, he was able to live as an animal over a longer period of time, because he could be an animal.

She watched him through her ocean blue orbs and only raised an eyebrow at his words. How would he have any idea how she felt? He was on the reserve a day and she had spent her entire life on that reserve including her first dragon bite and her own mothers death. She closed her eyes briefly so as not to expose tears to the man before her. She felt extremely guilty seeing as that she had been the reason for her mothers death. She had bit off more than she could chew and her mother had come to save her only to end up in the ground. She shook her head and looked back at the boy.
"Sounds like quite the adventure" she said her hand brushing her stomach lightly out of habit. She reached up and brushed her hair back more, feeling her knees grow slightly weak and to keep her balance decided it best to take a seat as well. She sat across from him and allowed the silence thicken a moment. She looked at him and then glanced downwards before lifting her head. "So what do you remember exactly? About the night you were in Romania...on the reserve." she wanted to add of her but refrained.

Sirius followed her with his eyes as she moved from the doorway to the chair facing his. He waited for her to be seated, as any gentleman would, then lowered his frame into the chair beneath him. He nodded in agreement at her comment about it being an adventure. Traveling was quite an adventure, at least to him. Mother had kept him pretty cooped up, so now that he was able to, he enjoyed going wherever he wanted.
"What do I remember about the night I was in Romania?" he repeated her question, then thought back, biting his lower lip in thought. His gaze slanted upwards, staring blankly at the ceiling. Well, he remembered lots of dragons. That was what had caught his attention. Other tourists had been talking about it, so Sirius had decided to check it out. It was later in the day though when he had gotten there, so he hadn't been able to check out much of the reserve. But what he had seen of it was pretty amazing.
Then, the bar near the reserve. A little extra money he'd gathered, and having a few drinks. Thats when the memory began to get a little fuzzy, but, as Sirius lowered his gaze to the lovely woman seated across from him, he could distinctly remember meeting her. A few drinks, they'd started dancing and...
Oh Shit. he thought to himself, eyes going large for a moment. It came back to him. Her body. His body. He tugged at the collar of his tee-shirt. Had they turned up the heat in the castle.
"Umm... Well... I remember..." Sirius looked at her, then looked away, then looked back. "Well. There was a bar, and quite a few drinks. And you, of course..." he trailed off. What the hell. How did you let someone you didn't really remember sleeping with until just now realize that you hadn't really remembered sleeping with them until just now. And someone you didn't know at all for that matter. Thinking back, now it was no wonder she wanted to get out of the room earlier. He'd probably want to get away from some guy who had a one night affair than never called back again.
"And... um.... other things..." he finished quietly. Gosh, he was such an idiot.

She watched him in dead silence as he pondered about the night he had been to Romania. She watched his eyes on the ceiling and glanced away trying to think herself what to say if he did remember. She watched him carefully as he lowered his eyes back to met hers and she blinked, opening her eyes just in time to notice the slight size increase to his orbs as she figured it had dawned on him.
She watched as he lifted his hand from it's resting position and tug gently at his collar which she figured was a way of trying to cool himself off which she refrained from laughing at. His eyes began to dart here and there and she swore she could see his cheeks going pink. I remember you. Ahh so he did remember her well at least he wasn't that sloshed. She listened to him as his voice went quiet and she felt bad slightly so decided to make it a little less quiet.
"Oh well at least one of us does!" she said with a shrug, lying through her teeth but she kind of felt bad for him. She of course remembered sleeping with him that night, she remembered waking up early and leaving before he woke up, she remembered the others telling her that he had left and she remembered all 91 days since he had left. The pink symbol she dreamt of, the fatigue, vomiting..every bit of it. She stood then and wondered the room unable to sit still any longer and unable to meet his eyes anymore. How could she just out of the blue announce the she was carrying something that belonged to him? Hell he hadn't even remembered her name let alone know her all that well to just become a father to her unborn baby.
She stopped by the window, glad her baby bump wasn't showing all that much under her tank top. At three months she wasn't that noticable and lucky for her she knew he really wouldn't be able to tell. Only animals were that sensitive to change.

After that revelation, he hadn't expected her to take it so lightly. So she didn't remember? Then why would she ask? Sirius watched her as she got up from the chair and wandered about the room, more and more intrigued by the woman in the room with him. With each step she took, it reminded Sirius about why he had been attracted to her in the first place. She had an animalistic grace about her, walking fluidly and with poise.
He closed his eyes, shutting the memories out that seemed to just keep finding their way to him now that he remembered. It made him feel like a voyeur, because he didn't quite remember being there, so it didn't really give him the liberty to look back in on that.
Opening his eyes, he looked over at her, as she stood framed in the window. The fading light from outside seemed to make a halo around her, and she looked radiant, almost like she was glowing. He sat with a small smile, glad to have a chance of looking at her without her staring back at him.
She was a beauty. Not what a lot of people would label gorgeous, but she had something about her that just made her beautiful, at least to him. It was a wonder how he had landed her, since he wasn't very good with people, and he didn't think he was one of the better looking people out there anyways. "I'm sorry if the incident has caused you trouble at all. It wasn't my intention what so ever." he told her. He truly was sorry. It sucked not having your memory. He'd wondered about that night for the last few months, although apparently not hard enough to actually bring back the memories.

Caused her trouble? He didn't know the half of it. She glanced down at her stomach, pulling lightly at her orange tank top to be sure it hid her tiny belly. She dropped her hands and turned around, leaning back on the wall next to the window pane. She smiled slightly at him and raised a brow at him.
"No trouble at all. I'm built to be strong, I can handle anything" she spoke softly before looking around the room. She spotted the rag left on the mantle of the room and she tilted her head to the side. "So your the caretaker here I'm guessing?" she said, pushing off of the wall and walking back over to the chair she had once occupied. She crossed her legs casually and leaned back closing her eyes as a wave of nausea passed over her. She had forgotten about breakfast this morning and a mix of her empty stomach and moving baby didn't help.

Relieved that he apparently had caused her any trouble with his negligence, he leaned back with a sigh, and watched her move back to the chair. He listened to her question, and was a little embarrassed by his position. Yes, he was the caretaker, but it was more of a cleaning job of the castle, and it seemed like it would be a perfect position for a woman, not a man. He oversaw quite a few other things in the castle, but it was mostly just cleaning.
"Um, yes, I am the caretaker of the castle," he answered, then frowned when she closed her eyes. A small wave of unease drifted from her. "Is something the matter?" he asked, concerned for an unknown reason, at least an unknown reason to him. True, she seemed to glow, but she also seemed a little pale, kind of out of it. As if she hadn't been feeling good lately.

She opened her eyes and took a few deep breathes before answering him. "It's fine! The castle has always had male caretakers. In fact the job I just took here is usually a man's position as well but I figured the pay was right I could handle it." she paused and straightened herself up a bit. "I'm the new gamekeeper" she finally told him and smiled weakly now that he knew they would be working together.
"I was actually looking for the Headmistress before I found you" she stood and was about to say more when another wave hit her and she held up a finger, hurrying to the lavatory off the room. The door shut and she bent over the toilet, emptying her stomach into it. She wiped her eyes afterwards and her mouth before washing her hands and slumping back against the wall. She flushed the water down and sank to the floor, closing her eyes. This was not looking good.

Stunned, Sirius could only sit and stare after her as she hurried off into the separate lavatory. In the stillness of the rooms, he could clearly hear her clearing out her stomach. He waited for a moment, to at least give her a little privacy. Once he could tell she had finished and cleaned herself up, he expected her to return to the room they were in, smiling softly with an apology.
He waited for a moment, then two. After that, he began to get worried, and he got up and walked over to the closed door. Knocking softly he spoke kind of hesitant. He'd never dealt with a sick person before. "Emma? Are you okay? At least let me know you didn't pass out or knock yourself out." he said softly
