Sighing as she heard his voice and opening her once closed eyes she stood slowly. Letting the slight dizzy spell subside she reached for the brass doorknob and turned, opening the door wide. She leaned against the door a moment before offering him a small smile. "I'm sorry you had to be here for that!" she said softly and stood up straight.
One hand was unthinkingly still on her stomach as she stopped in front of him where he stood in her way. She gulped and finally allowed her eyes to met his. They stood only inches apart and she tried to hide the slight shake in her relaxed arm. Turning a brilliant shade of pink she spoke again. "I.I'm just go-ing to la-ay down" she said sneaking past him and going over to the couch. She leaned back against the arm of the couch and closed her eyes briefly.

Selena hadn't been able to help herself any longer and needed the break from marking to make herself a cup of tea. She hurried through a secret passageway appearing on the ground floor and made her way carefully towards the staff room. As she grew nearer she could hear voices and was careful to be quiet as to not disturb them. She turned the handle and opened the door stepping inside rather carefully. She glanced about seeing her caretaker and gameskeeper, one of whom was couch ridden.
Concern flashed through her eyes as she noted the hand on the stomach of her gameskeeper. "Emma dear is something wrong?" she asked moving closer to her. She looked at her friend in concern and spoke. "Is it the morning sickness again or something more? I knew this would be too much for you. You are a high risk pregnancy after all maybe you should just allow me to find someone else to take care of the creatures until after.." she sighed and hurried around to the kettle.
"Sirius the castle is looking wonderful might I add. Would either of you like some pomegranite tea?" she asked turning the kettle on and laying out a cup with a tea bag inside.

The door suddenly opened, and Sirius looked down to find her standing before him, only inches away. She avoided his gaze for a moment, before looking up at him and their eyes connected. "Not a problem," he replied. He noticed her hand on her stomach, but chalked it up to her wanting to comfort herself after puking. Heaven knows he held onto himself after a terrible night of throwing up.
She moved past him, and he stepped back and allowed her to pass. Concerned, he followed after her as she went towards the couch, and stood besides her on the couch. Not knowing what to do, he turned and looked at the sound of the door opening. The headmistress entered, and he watched as the flash of concern cross her face and she moved towards Emma. Morning sickness? he thought. Pregnancy? He stepped back as Selena moved in, then away from Emma.
"Umm..." Sirius looked back and forth between Emma and Selena. Now that he knew, it made sense. The puking, the upset stomach. But, why wouldn't she have said something when he asked if she was alright? He glanced at her out of the corner of her eye. "No thank you," he said quietly, mumbling and looking down. He wasn't a very good socialite, and didn't do good with many people around. He was pretty dense also.

Emma heard the door and looked up as the very person she had been looking for entered the room. She noted the flash of concern and watched as Selena appeared beside her and Sirius backed away. Her fears shook through her as the Head of the school announced she was pregnant and her eyes closed a moment. She had been hoping to avoid this but perhaps it's better. She heard the headmistress mention losing her job to another and she sat bolt upright shaking her head. "No no no!! please headmistress I am able to do this. The first three months brings the morning sickness because of your hormones fluctuating!! I promise that's all it is." Well good job Emma you just gave away how far along you are which means if Sirius is any good at math he'll know about when she got pregnant.
She watched the headmistress walk around the couch and she shook her head. "No headmistress thank you.." she laid back closing her eyes with a sigh. She was going to lose her job.

Selena grabbed her tea cup and glanced at Sirius retreating before returning her gaze to the girl on the couch. She heard her sigh and realized that perhaps added stress right now is not a good thing to have. She took a sip of the tea and set the cup back in the saucer before looking up at her.
"For now you may stay but keep in mind you are high risk, things can go bad very quickly and take it easy. If you need anything do not hesitate to see me. Your job is yours as long as you want it." she half wished that she had of known the girl was pregnant before she was hired into a dangerous task like gamekeeping but it was too late for that now.
She shifted and walked across the floor to the door, with a nod of her head to the both of them. "I must get back to my duties. Enjoy your day" she smiled and exited the same way she came leaving the two staff members alone once more.

Sirius smiled and nodded as Selena left the room, and, self-consciously stayed where he was. He didn't know if it would better for him to just leave, or if he should stay, and see if there was anything he could do to make Emma a little more comfortable. He didn't have any reason to, but then again, it wasn't as if he was pressed for anything either.
"Are you sure you do not need anything?" he asked her. If she was still somewhere in the first three months of the pregnancy, she would be tired a lot, and he figured she probably wouldn't want to be doing much for herself. Although she seemed intent on keeping her job.
For some reason, he wondered about the father of the child she carried. There was no mention made between either Emma or Selena, but if his wife was with child, he wouldn't feel that comfortable with her handling all of the responsibilities that came with the position.
Three months... he thought, looking down at the woman on the couch. No, it couldn't be.... he was foolish to even think it. They'd been together only the one time. The child couldn't be his. There was no chance. "If you need help with anything, do not hesitate to call for me Emma. I'd be more than willing to help you with anything you need." he told her.

Emma shifted her gaze from the now empty doorway to where Sirius stood. He looked as though he had just been in an weird position. Then again to randomly find out a girl he knew was actually pregnant was rather odd. He offered her anything and she shifted off the coach and stood shaking her head. "No, really I'm fine. You can get back to your work if I'm keeping you"
If you need help with anything, do not hesitate to call for me Emma. I'd be more than willing to help you with anything you need. She looked at him and raised a brow. "Why would you possibly want to get yourself caught up in that situation? I mean it's not like I ever even asked you for anything." she felt her temper rage a bit. "I do NOT need anyones help especially yours. You've done enough!" she felt the color drain from her face as she realized what she said and she looked away walking over to the window. That was not supposed to slip out. Why had she ever inheritted her father's temper.

Sirius was taken back for a moment by her anger, then felt the anger boil up in himself. Here he was, trying to at least be friendly and offer his assistance to a woman, which his mother always taught him was something he needed to do, and she was biting his head off. Especially yours? He thought, I've done enough? he glared down at the small woman that moved past him and stood near the window.
"Emma..." he said quietly, holding back the rage he felt within him. He may be dense, but when she practically spelled it out for him, it finally dawned on him. "Who is the father?" he asked. There was no reason for her to be so hostile to him, but he stood with his fists clenched at his sides, awaiting the answer that could either change his life forever, or would have no impact on him whatsoever.

Standing at the window had made Emma's temper calm a bit. She watched the wind blow through the trees of the forbidden forest below. She toook a breath as he asked her the question and she released it with a sigh. She turned back to face him and moved a piece of her hair a side. She noted his clenched fists and brought her blue orbs up to meet his. "I'm sorry I snapped..." she apologized first knowing her temper could get the better of her. That was how they ended up in this mess. He knocked over some guys drink purely by accident and their arguments led to their playful actics.
She crossed her hands over her stomach and stood straight once more, knowing now would be better so if they fought she could deal with it here. "You are.." she wasn't sure if he would even believe her since he was probably thinking if she'd sleep with him that easy it could be anyones but the truth was he had been the only one she slept with before and no one was after. "There is no one else."

Her announcement left him weak in the knees. He released a gasp of air that he hadn't been aware of holding, and had to steady himself on the high back of the chair beside him. "okay." he said quietly, lowering himself into the seat of the chair. "Okay." it was mostly all he could say at the moment. I am going to have a child he thought to himself, among many other thoughts.
"What would you have me do? I shall not abandon my child, I will be a part of their life. You do not need to go through this by yourself Emma." he told her. Sirius knew what it was like, growing up without a father, and he wouldn't want to wish it upon anyone. He looked up at her from the chair. "Let me be a part of this." he pleaded with her.

Emma waited and watched as he released a breath. She could tell he was shocked, who wouldn't be? She reached forward instinctively as it seemed as though he would pass out but stopped herself. She watched him lower himself in a chair and came around to sit on the couch nearest to him. His jumble of words threw her for a loop and she shook her head.
"You never asked for this and I'm not going to stick you in as a responisibilty you don't want!" she said flatly before sighing herself. "I would have told you if I could have found you, you know." she looked up at him and nodded her head. "Alright if you want to be in their life for them and not because you see it purely as a responsibility then you can be there. Alright?"

OOC;; sorry for the crappy post.... DX
BIC;;
Nodding, Sirius stayed seated, the entire overwhelming thought of becoming a father was crushing over him. "I believe you would have told me. I'm sorry I wasn't around for you" he told her. Taking a few more breaths, he stood once more, and looked down at the woman before him.
"I would do it out of pure responsibility, but I know what it is like, growing up without knowing your father, and I do not want to wish that upon anyone. Thank you for letting me be a part of this. Whatever you need, I am here for you. Hospital bills, new clothes, watermelons in the dead of winter. Send for me, and I'll make sure everything you need is taken care of." he smiled down at her softly. "I'm sorry to put you through all of this, but thank you for carrying the child. I know there are many who may have just gotten rid of it when they first found out. The child and I are lucky you are not one of those people."

Emma watched patiently as he brought himself around and stood. Her eyes followed him as he did so and she leaned back as he stopped before her and looked down at her. She tucked a stray hair behind her ear. He hadn't freaked out lucky but now he was almost surprising.
As he smiled down at her she flushed. She had only confessed that the child she was carrying was his and here he was trying to play the husband role. Paying bills, clothes, cravings? She shook her head at him and gulped. "Really Sirius, I would never ask you to do any of that. Thank you though" She then heard his apologie and she shrugged her shoulders about to speak when she heard him thank her for carrying the child. Well of course she would, what else would she do with it? "I would never destroy a living being, it's not it's fault we got drunk and enjoyed ourselves!"
She set her hand on her small belly and closed her eyes a moment before reopening her eyes and looking back up at him. "Are you ok?"

Sirius smiled down at her again as she told him that there was nothing he needed to do. She thought that now, but he'd do anything to make the mother of his child comfortable. "Well, I am glad that you believe this way. Some do not." he said to her. He smiled to himself when she dropped her hand to her stomach, the age long sign of a mother to be. He couldn't believe that he hadn't noticed it before.
He was concerned when she closed her eyes, then surprised when she asked him if she was alright. "Haha. Am I okay? Well. Do not worry much about me. My main concern is all about you now. I will deal with this when I have time to think." he moved over to the table with the tea pot and the sink. Pouring himself a glass of water, he looked over his shoulder to her.
"Now, are you sure I can not get you something?" he asked,

Emma had to admit the fact that he was so willing to be involved with the baby and so concerned for their care made her feel kind of hot, or maybe that was the heat she was feeling. She watched him stand up and walk over to the table, pouring himself a glass of water. As he asked she only shrugged and eased herself up. She wasn't very big yet, being only three months so she wasn't weighed down a lot but she still had her sexy flare about her.
Smirking she made her way over to him, walked around in front of him and straddled him in the chair. Her arms fell lazily around his neck as she looked at him in the eyes. He was still the sexiest man she had ever seen. "You really need to relax..I've been fine for three months without you." she smirked glancing down before taking his hands and placing them on either side of the small belly she did have. She lifted her gaze back to his and wet her already moist lips. "Meet your baby..." she said in almost a whisper. Her eyes glanced at his lips a moment but she shifted her gaze once more to look down at his hands on her stomach. This seemed so different to her.
